And the good news is, it does not have to cost you too much with these tasty tips . . .

BURGER BARGAINS: Veggies can save on tasty meatless burgers by heading to Aldi. Not only did the store’s The Deli sweet potato burgers win Best Vegetarian Burger honours on BBC Good Food’s taste test, they cost just £1.49 for a pack of two (230g) — far cheaper than Waitrose’s vegetarian sweet potato and quinoa burgers, £2.75 (200g). Plus, Aldi’s Specially Selected brioche burger buns, 79p for a four-pack, were voted ahead of more expensive alternatives.SAVE: £1.26
SAUSAGE SAVINGS: Tesco’s meat-free Lincolnshire-style sausages were heralded by the taste test as an “all-round crowd-pleaser”, winning Best Vegetarian Sausage. At just £1.75 for a six-pack (264g), they are sure to go down a treat — especially because they are far cheaper than veggie favourite Heck The Beet Goes On sausages, £2.50 for six (255g).SAVE: 75p
KEBAB FAB: Waitrose’s vegan tandoori kofta kebab costs £2.99 for a 280g pack. They both look and taste similar to the traditional meat versions, thanks to the terrific tandoori spices. They are made from chickpeas and come in cheaper than ready-made vegetable-based kebabs such as Sainsbury’s halloumi and vegetable kebabs, £3.75 for 280g — plus they are vegan.SAVE: 76p
GRAB A PIZZA: Veggie pizza fans can nab a freshly made vegan jackfruit one from their nearest Morrisons counter for just £4 — far cheaper than the popular 14in Pizza Hut Jack ’n’ Cheese version, which comes in at £19.75.SAVE: £15.75
