Game of Thrones season 8: Jon Snow apologises for coffee cup blunder

Jon Snow has apologised for season 8 in a deepfake video(Picture: HBO)Jon Snow has apologised for the Game Of Thrones season eight coffee cup scandal in an incredible deepfake video.
Shared on YouTube the character, played by Kit Harington, addressed a number of complaints from the finale series – including the infamous cup that wasn’t actually from Starbucks.
‘It’s time for some apologies,’ Jon began. ‘I’m sorry we wasted your time. I’m sorry we didn’t learn anything from the ending of Lost.
‘I have more lines in this video than I had in the last season. I’m sorry for that.
‘And I know nothing made sense at the end. When the Starbucks cup is the smallest mistake, you know you f***** up. We take the blame.’

Jon continued: ‘I’m sorry we wrote this in like six days or something. Now, let us burn the script of season eight and just forget it forever. F*** season eight.’
Viewers were living for the mocked-up video, writing in the comments: ‘And for the first time, Jon Snow knows something.’
Echoing a similar sentiment, another added: ‘Those 54 seconds were better written than the entirety of season eight.’
Game Of Thrones viewers were left screaming when they spotted that a coffee cup had been left in shot in the fourth episode of the season.

Earlier this month Sophie Turner, who played Sansa Stark, blamed the mishap on ‘lazy’ Kit, saying: ‘It was Kit. It was a hundred per cent Kit.’
Meanwhile director for The Last Of The Stars David Nutter has shunted any blame for the gaffe.
I think the show is so damn perfect in many respects that people love to find the blemishes,’ he said to The Hollywood Reporter.
‘It’s just a little non sequitur that doesn’t really amount to anything at all.’
Game Of Thrones is available to stream on NOW TV.
