Game of Thrones prequel 'Bloodmoon': title, cast, trailer

GAME of Thrones is coming to an end as we know it, but there is a prequel in the works under the working title – Bloodmoon.
Filming for the show began in May and here’s all we know about it so far…

What is Game Of Thrones prequel, Bloodmoon, about?
The new series, set more than five thousand years before the events of the current series, will follow the story of the Children Of The Forest.
A source to The Sun: “Thrones fans will be delighted to hear things have started with the prequel. Those working on the set in Belfast are referring to the series as Bloodmoon. “Producers have put together a stellar cast and it will be must-watch telly for anyone who loves Game Of Thrones.”
The big-budget spin-off is being run by writer and producer Jane Goldman, wife ofJonathan Ross.

When is Bloodmoon set to air?
HBO Executives have confirmed the spin off won’t be broadcast until after Game of Thrones’ final season in 2019.
A teaser for the series said it would reveal the “horrifying secrets of Westeros’s history to the true origin of the White Walkers”.
Who is in the Bloodmoon cast?
Game Of Thrones author George RR Martin, who confirmed last month that none of the characters or actors from this series will be appearing in the prequel since it is set so many years before.
Josh Whitehouse and Naomi Watts were the first two names attached to the forthcoming project.
Naomi will join a handful of “very strong female characters” who will star in the forthcoming series, according to HBO’s President of Programming, Casey Bloys.
Other cast members include Denise Gough, Jamie Campbell Bower, Naomi Ackie, Ivanno Jeremiah, Sheila Atim, Toby Regbo, Alex Sharp, and Toby Regbo, most known for his role in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.
Creator George tweeted:  “Casting is now underway for The Long Night, the first of the Game of Thrones successor series to ordered to film.
“HBO has just announced the first cast member: Naomi Watts is coming on board as one of our stars… I could not be more excited. Welcome to Westeros, Naomi.”

Is there a Bloodmoon trailer?
No, we haven’t seen any promotional images or trailer for the prequel just yet.
But filming began in Belfast at the start of May so we are sure to see teasers soon enough.
Details regarding the storyline are being kept under wraps, but what has been confirmed is that the prequel is based during the Age of Heroes, when winter reigned supreme.
