They’re already available in stores, where they’ll set you back £1.65 for a pack of two.
The treats weigh between 90 and 110g, but Morrisons hasn’t been able to share any calorie counts.
The supermarket currently has 494 branches across the UK. You can find your nearest one here.
The new version is not the only option at Morrisons if you’re after some hot cross fun.
The supermarket has brought back its popular giant hot cross buns this year, and they’re 84 per cent bigger than its standard buns.
It’s also introduced a tasty hot cross bun loaf, which costs 80p.
Or you can even pick up a bun stuffed with Belgian chocolate at £1 for a pack of four.
If it’s the traditional buns you’re after, you can get them much cheaper at Asda where a pack of six costs just 69p, or you can currently get two packs for £1.20.
In fact, you could actually cheaply re-create Morrisons’ cream hot cross buns by buying the traditional treats, cutting them in half and then adding cream and jam.
How to save money on Easter chocolateWITH supermarkets changing prices weekly, it can be hard to keep track. Here’s our top tips to make sure you get an eggs-cellent deal.
DO compare prices – Make sure you check all your local supermarkets to hunt out the best deals. If you know which egg you want, you can use mysupermaket.co.uk to compare online.
DON’T be loyal – sticking with your usual shop out of habit can mean that you spend 200 per cent more for the exact same egg!
DO check Aldi and Lidl – these discounters are often great value for money, so don’t let the fact they haven’t got prices online put you off
DON’T assume cheap means good value – check the weights of your eggs and the cost per gram of chocolate. Sometimes deals mean you might get more for your money with a larger egg
DO use multiplyer deals – if you’ve got a few kids to buy for, take advantage of BOGOF or two for £X deals. This can massively cut the amount you pay
