IT’S time for EA’s annual Futties, a “celebration of the best content from FUT 19”.
As well as a chance to decide with players get rewarded with an upgraded Futties card, all Fifa Ultimate Team players will get a second shot at Squad Building Challenges (SBCs) and special items released over the course of the year so far.
3 Some of the year’s top cards will be coming back for a limited time only
You’ll have the chance to vote for players until August 7, with nominees in multiple categories dropping into your account as they are revealed.
You’ll be able to grab one of the nominated players to play with as a one-match loan – and that counts as your vote.
Whoever wins gets an upgraded card released as part of an SBC later on.
The first category, Speedsters, included:
Keita Baldé Diao (Senegal / AS Monaco)
Hirving Lozano (Mexico / PSV Eindhoven)
Gelson Martins (Portugal / AS Monaco)
With Lozano coming out on top. His 92-strength card is available in SBCs now, until July 12.
The second batch were your Midfield Enforcers:
Fred (Brazil / Manchester United)
Thomas Partey (Ghana / Atlético Madrid)
Renato Sanches (Portugal / Bayern Munich)
With Fred winning the day. He’s available in SBCs until July 13.
3 Select Team of The Week cards are coming – but the first batch only includes weeks 1 – 20
New Best Of Packs are also coming with Futties as voting progresses.
The first batch of them are out now, with cards from:
Team Of The Group Stage (Champions League/Europa League)
FUT Birthday Packs
Ones to Watch Packs
Road to the Final
Select Man of The Match / Hero cards
Select Team of the Week (From Weeks 1-20)
You can see the full list of players in the first wave of packs in one handy spreadsheet here.
They will be available until July 17th, after which a new batch will be available.
On July 31 a third batch will be made available, which EA says “will include some of the top players from the first two batches.”
EA hasn’t released details of which SBCs will be re-released or when yet, just saying that “a selection of the most popular SBCs will be made available throughout the event. Keep checking in-game to see when they become available.”
3 Liverpool aces featured heavily in the Road to the Final packs
Some lucky players will get free Futties packs too.
Whether or not you get a free FUT pack is “based on how many days you logged in to FUT since launch”, EA says.
Anyone who has won a free player pack will be able to claim it any time before the event ends on August 14.

The fact that we’re in Futties mode means FIFA 19 is drawing to a close and all eyes are on FIFA 20.
We revealed that the Nintendo Switch isn’t going to get the proper version of FIFA 20, with Nintendo fans having to settle for a ‘Legacy’ edition instead that will see them miss out on all the game’s new features.
PS4, Xbox One and PC players will have a new FIFA Street inspired Volta Football mode to enjoy, as well as some much-needed changes to the core gameplay.
The FIFA games in general and Ultimate Team mode in particular are under threat, though, with a new US law in the works that seems to have EA worried and the company having to defend its use of loot boxes in the UK Parliament too.
