EIGHT climbers have died on Mount Everest in a week as record numbers get caught in queues near the summit.
Irish dad Kevin Hynes, 56, became the latest victim early yesterday.

He was in a group from UK-based climbing company 360 Expeditions and died in his tent at 23,000ft after turning back before reaching the summit.
Three others died of exhaustion on descents.
This week’s toll is more than the total for last year.
It comes after a photo showed a “jam” of climbers waiting to reach the 29,029ft summit.
Reports said Indian Nihal Bagwan, 27, died after spending more than 12 hours waiting in line.
Compatriot Kalpana Das, 52, was another victim. An Austrian, 65, also died on Thursday.
Adventurer Ben Fogle, who scaled Everest last year, yesterday led calls to limit climbing permits which cost £8,600 each.
