EASTENDERS fans think Ronnie and Roxy Mitchell could return from the dead to boost the soap’s flagging ratings.
The popular sisters – played by Samantha Womack and Rita Simons in the BBC One soap – were killed off together in a traumatic New Year’s Day storyline in 2017 – but viewers are still hoping for a comeback.
BBC Fans think Ronnie and Roxy could come back from the dead
Fans of show think a sensational storyline is just what it needs to get back to it’s best – and believe that Ronnie and Roxy are the most likely candidates for a comeback.
The siblings drowned in a swimming pool just hours after Ronnie married Jack Branning.
Despite both being dead and being seen at their funerals, viewers have thought up numerous explanations.
One theory is that the coffins were in fact empty, which was facilitated by Billy or Jay.
Others believe it could be done with the use of some clever flashback scenes.

Another fan suggested that Ronnie faked her own death and Roxy went with her so they could be together.
They believe the swimming pool scene was faked just so it would create CCTV footage.
It’s not the first time fans have questioned their deaths – last year a new conspiracy theory claimed the women faked their deaths to go and live it up in Ibiza.
Not everyone is so convinced by the theories though and think the likelihood of either character ‘doing a Kathy’ – where Gillian Taylforth returned in 2015 despite her alter ego being killed off screen in 2006 – is rather slim considering the gruesome end which befell them on New Year’s Day.
