DISNEY’s new streaming app will include the entire Disney motion picture library, and is set to compete with Apple and Netflix.
The streaming service, called Disney Plus, will launch later this year.

Highly anticipated upcoming live action films such as Dumbo and Aladdin should be available on the platform.
Last year, Variety reported that Disney CEO Bob Iger said the companies main priority was reaching the core Disney fans and hinted that the “substantially cheaper” than Netflix pricing wouldn’t increase until the content did.
He said: “We want to walk before we run when it comes to volume of content.”
He also added: “We have to put enough on to make sense from a price-to-value relationship perspective.”

The latter comment has caused many to speculate that Disney Plus will be cheaper than Netflix, which has plans starting at £6.99 a month, as it will have less content for the time being until more is created.
Disney is planning to commission exclusive content for the new streaming platform, including a live action remake of Lady and the Tramp and a live-action Star Wars series called The Mandalorian.
Star Wars fans might not be best pleased by the service though as the new film, Star Wars: Episode X, is set to be released in cinemas first and Disney Plus users will have a while to wait until it is available to stream.
