A FREE Greggs sausage roll could be yours on Friday as food delivery giant Deliveroo is handing out 6,000 to hungry workers.
The giveaway is only happening in London outside a handful of the bakery’s branches, though – and you’ll have to be quick if you want one.
Greggs Deliveroo is handing out 6,000 of these beauties on Friday – but only in London
All you need to do to claim your free sausage roll is look out for a Deliveroo rider outside one of 14 Greggs shops wearing their signature teal blue uniform on Friday.
You don’t even need to download the Deliveroo app.
Meaty sausage rolls cost 95p at the bakery chain, so you’re saving yourself nearly a quid if you manage to get one.
The stores taking part are: Chancery Lane, Cheapside, Clapham High Street, Earls Court, East Cheapside, Elephant & Castle, Holborn, Ludgate Hill, Paddington, Shepherds Bush, Southampton Row, The Strand, Victoria Coach Station, and Whitechapel.
Greggs Vegan sausage rolls are also included in the giveaway
And if you’re curious about Greggs’ new vegan sausage roll, then this is a good chance to try one without spending a penny as they’re also included in the giveaway.
There’s about 60 free vegan ones at each store – normally costing £1 each – and all you have to do is request one from the Deliveroo riders handing out pastries.
It’s not clear exactly when on Friday the riders will be outside the shops yet, but we’ve asked Deliveroo and we will update this article if we hear back.
You’ll surely have to be quick though as we imagine they’ll be quite popular.
Deliveroo is giving away the sausage rolls to celebrate the platform’s sixth birthday as it was founded in London in 2012.
You can order Greggs’ treats on the app as well as meals from Michelin starred restaurants.
Will Shu, Deliveroo’s CEO said: “Deliveroo was founded, built in and inspired by London.
“In six years we’ve worked together to build one of Britain’s most successful tech companies, that now operates in over 14 countries.
“Deliveroo customers love amazing food whether it’s a gourmet burger, protein-packed salad or even one of Greggs’ famous sausage rolls.”
