David Walliams calls out Simon Cowell's diva behaviour on Bear Grylls

David Walliams moaned about Simon Cowell’s timekeeping skills ({Picture: ITV)David Walliams didn’t hold back in calling out Simon Cowell’s timekeeping skills on Bear Grylls’ adventure show on ITV.
The Britain’s Got Talent judge, who revealed that becoming a dad helped him tackle depression, said that he has a good relationship with the music mogul, but wishes that he would ‘get out of bed earlier.’
The funnyman’s admission was prompted when Bear asked David how he thought Simon would fare on the programme which was designed to push all the physical limits in the Devonshire countryside.
David replied: ‘Very hard because the high heeled shoes, they’d be murder on this.’
‘But you’re so brilliant with it. You always have the confidence to take the mick,’ commented Bear.
‘We’re like brothers really,’ David admitted. ‘Brothers who have a love/hate relationship.
‘He once said to me, “You’re only happy when I’m unhappy and I’m only happy when you’re unhappy.”‘

‘I love that he’s always late,’ laughed Bear.
‘If someone tells me to be somewhere for a certain time I’m there. I don’t think, “I’ll just arrive five hours late.”‘

But David can’t be too fazed by Simon’s penchant to be fashionably late, because he’s reportedly in ‘serious’ talks for his celebrity version of The X Factor.
Last month, Simon told the Mirror Online that he’s on the hunt for the next Kylie Minogue, revealing: ‘In the same way Pete Waterman made Kylie and Jason musical stars, and what I did with Robson and Jerome, I’d like to think through the process we’ll find someone who can sell records rather than just doing the show as a stunt
‘I think David [Walliams] might enter, seriously, that would be amazing.’
Bear’s Mission with David Walliams is available to stream on the ITV hub.
