David Beckham takes footy-mad Harper to watch Women's World Cup 2019

David took football-mad daughter Harper to watch the England women’s team reach the semi-finals on Thursday, perhaps trying to inspire her dreams of World Cup 2031 glory.
And what an inspiration it was, ending in a 3-0 win over Norway, marking the third year in a row that England has reached the final four in the Women’s World Cup.
Seven-year-old Harper was wearing her own little England top – and a fashionable bandanna, no doubt encouraged by VB – while they supported at Stade Oceane, Le Havre, France.

Primary schooler Harper plays football every weekend and dad David, a former England captain, is not shy about saying he gets ‘very enthusiastic’ watching her.
Of all David and Victoria’s children, Harper is the only one still enthusiastic about the beautiful game.
Eldest son Brooklyn, 20, is carving out his career as a photographer, while Romeo, 16, is a model for Burberry and Cruz, 14, is a budding Justin Bieber in the making, who’s already released his own song.

Even Grandma Sandra (David’s mum) was there to watch the football game (Picture: Dave Shopland/BPI/REX)Last year, retired footballer David told Graham Norton on his show how keen he was to see Harper carry on the Beckham legacy.
He said: ‘Harper is playing every Sunday and loves it.
‘The boys don’t play and it’s heartbreaking. They have a talent but it’s down to Harper now. I get very enthusiastic when watching her.’

However, when Harper was just four, Victoria said she was equally heartbroken that none of her children were bothered by fashion.
She told Grazia in 2015: ‘Harper loves fashion as all little girls do, she loves putting makeup on and playing with my shoes.
Victoria added: ‘She’s a tomboy, she has three brothers. She said to me the other day: “Mummy I think I want to play football.” It was a dagger through the heart.’
‘I have three boys who want to play football, come on, let one of them want to be in fashion.’
