THE dad of a heroic teen stabbed to death moved his family to Britain for a “safer life” – as the deadly zombie knife used to slaughter him remains on sale.
Malcolm Mide-Madariola, 17, died after the 15inch blade was plunged into his heart as he intervened in a fight outside his college in Clapham, South West London.

His devastated dad Olumide Wole-Madariola has revealed how he moved his family to the UK from Nigeria because they believed it was “safer”.
He told the Mail on Sunday: “It was the first time I’d ever seen my family in pain. We were normally a very happy and contented family.
“I felt like a failure. I am a security expert and I had failed at keeping my family safe. I’m obsessed with safety, it’s my job. We had a curfew for our children. At 7pm they would have to be home.
“We thought it would be safer for our children moving from Nigeria to England, but London is not as safe as when my father first moved here in the 1960s.
“It is not even as safe as when Malcolm was born here in 2001.”
‘MYSTERY KNIFE BOX’
Malcolm’s 17-year-old killer was handed the weapon by Treynae Campbell, 19, who had built up a terrifying arsenal of knives from website Knife Warehouse.
And the newspaper has revealed how a zombie knife identical to the one that killed Malcolm is still be sold on the site for £19.99.
Other items include “mystery boxes” where punters are sent a random knife for up to £20.
The site boasts it is the “Number One Hit” for those searching for knives on Google and has been linked to the murder of Peter Anderson, 46, last July.
Drug dealer Ashraf Hussan, 20, used a blade bought from the website to butcher Peter with “brutality and ferocity” in Cambridge.
‘WHY DID HE NEED THOSE KNIVES?’
Owner Joe Wheeler was given a police caution in 2015 for advertising the knives as “suitable for combat” but is still allowed to trade.
He said: “Knives are used for thousands of legitimate purposes. We are extremely careful with our age verification checks. This is our number one priority.
“All products we sell are legal and we abide by all laws.”
But Olumide has slammed the site for providing the knife that ended his son’s life.
He said: “How does it not raise a red flag? Why does an inner-city kid from London need all those knives?”
His thoughtful, church-going and football-loving son had stoop up for a pal when he was slashed with the hunting knife three times, including once in the heart, during the fight on November 2.

During a trial at the Old Bailey, Olumide said his son’s killer had “smirked” and showed “no remorse” – at one point saying: “It was just a knife, no big deal.”
Campbell, 19, was acquitted of murder and manslaughter but pleaded guilty to having an article with a blade or point and will be sentenced next month.
A 17-year-old boy, who can’t be named, was last month found guilty of murder at the Old Bailey and will also be sentenced on July 5.
