Youngsters curious about the world might take to Google to ask all about the burning questions of life. But they’re not usually mindful of their internet search history.
One dad who decided to have a look at his son’s past peruses online was left entertained and a little concerned.
Craig Wilson, from Blackpool, was left in stitches when he discovered eight-year-old Finlay’s search history which was uploaded on Twitter by older sister Ashleigh.
A lot of the topics were standard tween interests like video game Fortnite, Club Ubisoft, a popular YouTuber, and general curiosities such as lucid dreaming.
But then it started to take a bit of a dark turn with searches on celebrity deaths, arson, and one total headscratcher: ‘BBQ sauce on titties’.
The dad-of-five absolutely lost it, bursting into laughter at what seems like a NSFW phrase.
But the good people of the internet assured the family it was just in reference to a popular vine, derived from a clip of TV show Orange is the New Black.
Everyone was tickled pink to see the dad’s reaction to the searches as the post now has over 700,000 likes and 200,000 retweets.
Ashleigh spoke to Metro.co.uk about her brother’s curiosity.
‘It’s super funny, he’s really clever and curious so he was watching a news report on arson which made him google to find out more,’ she told us.
‘He’s a great kid who’s always up to things like this.
‘He hasn’t seen the viral comments, we decided to keep it quiet as his last viral video gained a lot of attention and negative comments as viral videos do. But he knows he’s gone viral again and he’s super excited.’
It’s not the first time Ashleigh has documented her brother’s adventures. She previously recorded him crying after he racked up a £200 bill playing Fornite on his parents’ bank card.
The family pranked him and told him he was being taken in by the police when he was actually going to his aunt’s house.
Though Ashleigh likes to poke fun at him, she’s also paying the price for his fame, as everyone keeps leaving comments saying ‘BBQ titties’ on her Instagram page.
Brb, we’re off to check out this vine.
