Customer told Debenhams worker to 'go back to your country you f*****g' Muslim’

A Debenhams customer has been convicted after racially abusing a Muslim staff member.
Toneeta Beckford, 33, told Mahbuba Kamali ‘go back to your country you f*****g’ Muslim’ after a dispute over a returned item on July 7, last year.
Beckford also grabbed Ms Kamali by the wrist during her tirade at the flagship store in Oxford Street, central London.

‘I moved to the other side and she grabs my wrist and pulls me towards her.
‘When I gave her the receipt back that was when she said go back to your country you f*****g Muslim.
‘I told her I was born here. She started saying something about the London Bridge attack.
‘I was terrified because I have never heard that before.’

Beckford was also convicted of harassing former Crimewatch presenter Rav Wilding back in 2010.
She sent dozens of obscene messages and lewd photographs through Facebook and Twitter to former policeman.
He told a court how he feared he would be killed like Jill Dando, who was shot in on her doorstep in 1999.
Beckford was given a suspended jail sentence later reduced to 50 hours of unpaid work and a community order after an appeal.
