CORONATION Street’s Samia Longchambon has admitted she’s been ‘institutionalised’ after 20 years on the soap and vows not to leave after the mass exodus.
The soap was plunged into chaos when leading stars Kym Marsh and Faye Brookes had quit the cobbles, the Sun Online revealed.

The 38 year-old Coronation Street star who plays Maria Connor, told the Sunday Mirror’s Notebook: “I feel old now! I’ve been on the show for my whole adult life – it’s more than half my life, in fact.
“It’s quite scary, although you never have time to get sick of it.
“The core cast and crew tend to stay the same, and you feel like you’re grown up together. Maybe I’m institutionalised!”
The mum-of-two said it would be really weird to leave and she’d be like a “fish out of water.”

Meanwhile Faye Brookes shocked her fans last month when she announced on Twitter that she’ll be leaving Corrie in the near future.
Faye, who played Kate Connor, said: “Thanks to everyone for your amazing support, but after four fabulous years in Weatherfield, it’s time for me to explore new opportunities,” Faye said.”I’ve loved playing Kate Connor, but she needs a break for a little while and so with a song in my heart I’m off to pastures new.”
It’s been a different story for EastEnders which has been on the up.
It has gone through a number of major changes with Kate Oates and Jon Sen taking the helm of the drama.
Fans have also been gripped to dramatic storylines and the celebrated returns of Sean Slater, played by Rob Kazinsky, and Ben Mitchell, played by Max Bowden.
