Brooklyn Nine-Nine is officially back for a seventh season and obviously the cast of the show took were super cool when they found out the news.
As in cool. Cool, cool, cool, cool, cool. No doubt, no doubt cool.
That is to say, they weren’t cool at all, and thanks to a gem in the table read, we were able to fully see their reaction on camera as the news broke to them that they were back for season seven.
As the group sat down for the latest script read, they can be heard being told: ‘You know how happy and proud we were to have you on NBC this evening, and we are even happier to say that we’d love to have you back next season…’

The gang will be back for another season of hijinks (Picture: Brooklyn Nine-Nine)…and that’s the last you hear before the team erupted into cheers.
Andy Samberg, who plays Jake Peralta, was seen punching the air before thumping the table, as an excited Terry Crews jumped up out of his seat throwing paper around the table like confetti.
Stephanie Beatriz looks shocked as Dirk Blocker, who plays Hitchcock started a standing ovation.
Way to play it cool, you guys!

However, thanks to fan outcry online, NBC picked them up, and brought them back to their original home within 48 hours.

Now they’re causing more havoc than ever, with the original cast still entirely in tact apart from the departure of Chelsea Peretti as Gina Linetti during season six.
Obviously though, she didn’t go out quietly, and now it’s been confirmed she’s even going to be swinging by the precinct for some more cases even though she’s moved on to become a billionaire.
The rascal.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine season 1-5 is available now on Netflix.
