Britain’s Got Talent dancer Akshat Singh urges fat Brits to follow in his footsteps and get grooving

HE’S the showstopping teen who proved that anyone can dance if they’ve got enough heart and soul.
Akshat Singh sailed through to Monday’s first live semi-final of Britain’s Got Talent after his performance saw him earn Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly’s golden buzzer.

Born in Mumbai, India, the 14-year-old wowed the judges in the audition stage, ending his amazing routine by telling the audience: “Fat people CAN dance.”
And it’s a message he thinks will go down well here in the UK.
He said: “People in Britain are really, really good.
“Some are really fat like me so I love them. I have taught some of them a bit of dance, there are a lot of people who are really nice.

“They just want to do a little bit of dance with me and I teach them.
“They are really, really happy and they are really honest, they are really happy and they make others happy.”
But Akshat, who viewers can see dancing tonight again on ITV from 7.30pm, once had to suffer the misery of being taunted by cruel bullies.
He said: “A lot of kids teased me, so I did not feel good.

“So that time I just made a promise that I will dance and show everyone that people who are fat or black, tall, short it doesn’t matter, it matters what you’re doing from the bottom of your heart.
“I showed everyone that fat people can dance.”
Just to prove how good a dancer Akshat really was, I sent showbiz reporter Joe Kasper along to try and compete with him.
It‘s fair to say there was no competition . . .
