Brit dead and another injured after plummeting 30ft taking selfie on cliff in Spain

A BRIT has died and another has been injured after a 30 foot fall as they tried to take a selfie on Spain’s Costa Blanca.
The tragedy happened around 7.30pm last night in an area known as Punta Prima near the town of Torrevieja.
Local reports, citing Civil Guard sources, described the pair as British and said they had been trying to take a photo at the time.
The man who died is said to have landed on a hut used by lifeguards after plunging between 20 and 32 feet.
The injured man was airlifted to Alicante Hospital. The extent of his injuries has not been revealed.
Punta Prima is the headland marking the border between the municipalities of Orihuela and Torrevieja.
Its beach won the prestigious Ecoplaya award in 2010.
The tragedy occurred less than three days after Luke Freeman, 19, from Reading, Berks, died after plunging from holiday apartments in the Costa Brava resort of Lloret de Mar.
No-one from the Civil Guard was immediately available for comment early this morning.
