Brendan Rodgers has become Leicester City’s new manager (Getty Images)Brendan Rodgers will have plans to manage Arsenal or Chelsea in the next few years, according to former Celtic star Kris Commons.
Rodgers has made the surprise move to ditch Celtic before the end of the season and has replaced Claude Puel as manager of Leicester City.
Rodgers, who came close to winning the Premier League title with Liverpool, has been linked with several Premier League jobs during his time in Scotland.
And Commons believes the 46-year-old has ambitions to move on to a more high-profile club than Leicester City.
‘Leicester have got a top coach – a proven manager – but I think Brendan’s better than Leicester,’ Commons told Sky Sports.

‘I think he proved that at Liverpool and he proved that at Celtic.
‘It wasn’t so long ago he was linked with the Arsenal job, and I think that’s the sort of thing that Brendan wants.
‘He wants to be winning titles.
‘Whether this is a stepping stone, a couple-year job, [before] he looks at the likes of Arsenal, or maybe a Chelsea – I think that’s more in Rodgers’ mind right now.’
