It then emerged her life coach son Garry “Dijon” Bowden Jr allegedly carried out obscene acts on a woman during a massage in January.
Bowden refutes the allegations and has provided texts, said to have been sent by the woman, saying the session was “gentle and authentic and loving”.
But Borders met her board and stood down, just four months after becoming president and chief exec.
The group said yesterday: “Time’s Up unequivocally supports all survivors of sexual harassment and abuse.
“On Friday, Lisa Borders informed members of Time’s Up leadership that sexual assault allegations had been made against her son in a private forum. Within 24 hours, Lisa made the decision to resign.
“We agreed that it was the right decision for all parties involved.
“All our actions were fully guided by our support for survivors.”
Former Coca-Cola executive Borders said: “As Time’s Up continues to grow, I am proud of the work I have done to shepherd its continued development.
“Unfortunately, it is with deep regret that I must resign.”
