The Italian side made it to last season’s showpiece but were beaten by Real Madrid, while Barca have not claimed the trophy since the 2014-15 campaign when, ironically, they beat Juve in the final.
Both teams have been kept in separate halves of the draw in this year’s tournament, with Juve facing Ajax in the quarter-final and Barca taking on Manchester United.

‘Juventus and Barcelona are the big candidates, but the English sides are there, as well as Ajax and Porto,’ Mourinho told AFP.
‘Juve and Barca have experience, talent and each a special player. Normally, when you have a special player, your team is better.’
He continued: ‘We all talk about Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, but I prefer to talk about Juventus and Barcelona.

Should Juve overcome Ajax they will take on either Manchester City or Spurs – who they knocked out last year – in the semi-final, while Barca will face Liverpool or Porto if they overcome United.
