ASDA is trialling half-hour delivery of groceries in partnership with Just Eat, as well as rolling out its takeaway pizza service to more stores.
The supermarket will offer 100 essential lines direct to customers’ front doors from two of its stores from this month.

The two trial stores where you’ll be able to get delivery are Fosse Park in Leicester, and Sutton.
It is not yet clear which 100 groceries will be on offer in the new 30-minute or less service, but the Sun has asked Asda and we will update this story when we know more.
But Asda has confirmed grocery items available as part of the 30-minute delivery service will remain the same price as when you shop in store or online.
Just Eat says the plan is to begin with a £3.50 delivery charge and £10 minimum order although this may change through the trial.
Asda’s normal delivery fees vary from £1 to £6.50 depending on the time of day.
You’re also charged an extra £3 for home deliveries under £40 or click and collect orders of under £25.
Just Eat’s delivery fees vary by retailer.
The new trial has been launched off the back of Asda’s pizza delivery service, which is also being expanded.
Last year, Asda trialled hot pizza deliveries from stores in Killingbeck, Beeston, Wakefield and Livingston.
But the supermarket has now announced that the delivery service, which is also run in partnership with Just Eat, will be available in 50 stores by the end of 2019.
The pizzas are £6 for a 16″ and come in a variety of flavours, including margherita, American sizzler, pepperoni and vegetable supreme.
You can also choose a 16″ pizza meal deal for £15 – which includes a whole 16″ pizza, four sides, dip, a 500ml tub of Ben & Jerry’s and a large bottle of your choice of drink.
You’ll have to pay a delivery charge too though of up to £2.50.
Chief executive Roger Burnley said: “We are embracing innovation and will be delivering lots of new trials over the coming months.
“One example of this is our partnership with Just Eat that launched last year to deliver pizza direct to customers, which has been such a success that we are rolling it out to up to 50 stores by the end of the year.
“As a result I am delighted to confirm that we’re extending our work with Just Eat to trial an express grocery delivery service from two stores.
“This will focus on delivering product to customers from around 100 essential lines within 30 minutes.”
