DON’T go bacon your heart – because Asda is now selling skin-on oven fries that taste just like Brits’ favourite breakfast ingredient.
They come in 500g bags for just £1.50.

You won’t have to wait long for your dinner either as they take just 18 minutes to cook from frozen.
They are pricier than Asda’s other oven chips, though, and you get less in a bag with only four portions per pack.
Asda also sells 1.5kg bags of oven cook French Fries for £1.27 and a 1.5kg bag of Steak Cut Chips for £1.37.
But these chips – available online and in stores – won’t have any delicious bacon seasoning on them.

The bacon flavour comes from the “smoke flavouring” and onion powder used to season the cook-at-home chips.
As you might expect, they’re not the healthiest side dish.
Each portion, a quarter of a pack, contains 144 calories and 5.7g of fat.
But they’re a lot better for you than the deep-fried fries you would get at the chippy.
