THERE’S no excuse for being cheesed off anymore because Aldi has brought back its sell-out halloumi fries.
Shoppers scrambled to get their hands on the fried cheese sticks when they first launched last year and now they’re back in stores until September.
Aldi Aldi’s halloumi fries are back in stores now
Unfortunately, their popularity has pushed up the price.
The 190g packs are now 30p more expensive at £2.29. Last year, they cost £1.99.
But desperate fans may not care as last year they were so sought-after that they kept selling out in stores across the country.
Customers posted pictures of empty freezers, while others demanded answers from the supermarket.

But hopefully stocks will be in greater supply this year as they will be on sale for another five months, until mid-September.
Fans are already very excited about their return.

Another wrote on Twitter: “Will pay good money to anyone who can bring me some Aldi halloumi fries right now.”
They’re already on sale from the frozen section of Aldi stores but sadly, they’re not available online.

If the cost is an issue, there’s a cheaper way to enjoy the halloumi fries: make them yourself.
A 225g pack of halloumi costs £1.35 so you would save 94p by making your own.
For health conscious cheese lovers, the halloumi fries are probably best enjoyed every now and then as a whole pack contains nearly 800 calories.
Aldi has said they got the idea for their halloumi fries from Nando’s, which has been selling the snack as a side since last year.
Like the Nando’s side dish, Aldi’s halloumi fries are covered in a lightly seasoned coating to make them extra crispy.
