Aldi is selling hot cross bun flavoured stuffing for Easter

IF you like your roast dinners with a twist you may want to head on down to Aldi where it’s launching hot cross bun flavoured stuffing balls.
The somewhat unusual sweet and savoury side combines Bramley apple sausage meat stuffing with dried fruit, cinnamon and pepper.
Aldi is going to be selling hot cross bun flavoured stuffing balls for Easter
The balls will cost £2.25 for a pack of six and you can buy them in stores only from April 14. Use Aldi’s store locator tool to find your nearest.
Perhaps they will appeal to those who are fed up with the usual chocolate Easter treats.
But bear in mind that these aren’t the cheapest stuffing balls going. Asda and Sainsbury’s, for example, sell an 85g pack of dried stuffing mix for just 25p – the cheapest of the four major supermarkets.
Asda also has 12 ready made freezable stuffing balls for just £1.25, while Sainsbury’s and Tesco sell 12 packs of fresh stuffing balls for £2 a pop.
We’ve asked Aldi how big the stuffing balls are and how many calories are inside and we’ll update this story when we get a response.
An adult man should have around 2,500 calories a day while it’s 2,000 for a woman, according to NHS guidelines.
Aldi adds that the meat is British outdoor bred RSPCA assured pork.

If you’re a hot cross bun fan you may want to head down to Lidl where the discounter is selling sweet wine flavoured with the doughy treats.
But before tucking in be warned that one hot cross bun contains up to 25g of sugar — a whole day’s worth for a child.
