Aldi is selling a purple glittery gin that tastes of parma violets for £10



IF you love parma violets, gin and glitter then your new favourite drink will soon be on sale in Aldi.
The bargain supermarket now does parma violet shimmer gin – and a bottle costs £10.

It’s not the first gin to be flavoured with the retro 90s sweets.
Rival supermarkets sell bottles of Whitley Neill’s parma violet gin for £20 for a 70cl bottle.
Alidi is selling 50cl bottle in stores around the UK from April 26.
The German grocery chain is also adding three new liquers to its range.
A coconut and vanilla rum, mango and papaya vodka and a rhubarb, pink grapefruit and black better gin.
All three 50cl bottles cost £9.99 and will be in store at the same time as the new violet gin.
In the last ten years sales of gin – affectionately known as Mother’s Ruin – have tripled.

Drinkers spent £461million on gin last year, up by 32.5 per cent on the year, according to the Office for National Statistics.
