Aldi follows Lidl by bringing back a USA food range including Reese’s and Twinkies – The Sun



ALDI shoppers can now get their hands on an all-American taste sensation as the discounter is bringing back a host of favourites for independence day on July 4.
The new foods on offer include Beanie’s cookie dough flavoured coffee, Twinkies, Reese’s Rounds and a Marshmallow fluff spread.
1 Aldi is launching a brand new all-American food range.
There are more than ten exciting new stateside products to try in the American Special Buy range.
The range includes:

American pancakes £1.39 – although you can buy four buttermilk pancakes at Waitrose for less at £1.
American style hot dogs – £1 – this is a good deal, as the next cheapest price we could find was Tesco’s jar of hot dogs for £2.20.
American style pancake syrups – £1.79 – the next best price we could find for maple syrup is at Asda where a 250g bottle costs £3.49
American tear and share brioche – £1.99 – Aldi has a similar French tear and share brioche for 20p less at £1.79.
Beanie’s flavoured coffee in caramel popcorn, cinder toffee and cookie dough – £1.99 – Sainsbury’s has an Irish cream flavour Beanie’s also for £2.
BBQ marshmallows – £0.99 – packs of marshmallows are cheaper at Tesco where you can get two for £1.50 making it 75p a pack.
Brownie Cookie – £0.99 – this is the same price as other supermarket cookies, which are sold in packs for under £1.
Choc Chip Cookie kit – £1.49 – you can pick up Betty Crocker cookie mix for less at £1.34 in Waitrose.
Cornichons and crinkle cut gherkins – £0.85 – the next cheapest price we could find is Tesco’s jar of pickled gherkins for £1.
Marshmallow Fluff – £1.49 – this is the cheapest price we could find for Marshmallow Fluff spread.
Multi pack of American condiments – £2.99 – prices vary between retailers but a multi-pack at £2.99 is a good deal.
Peanut butter – £1.49 – the next best price we could find for peanut butter was Asda’s own-brand, which costs £2.
Peanut butter balls – £1.49 – Ocado sells similar peanut butter balls but they cost a pricier £1.80.
Eight pack of Reese’s rounds – £1.09 – Waitrose also sells the snack but they cost more at £1.55.
Rainbow cake mix – £1.99 – this is a good deal as Tesco’s rainbow cake mix costs a pricier £5.
Sugar Free Strawberry Cheesecake Drops – £0.59 – you won’t find these anywhere else on the high-street.
Ten pack of Twinkies – £2.99 – the next best price we could find for these was a whopping £5.50 at Tesco.

The products aren’t available online and can only be bought in store.
There are over 700 Aldi’s throughout the UK – you can find your nearest one using the store locator tool.
Last month, Lidl bought back its American food range, which includes Hershey’s Chocolate Syrup for £2.99, Malt-O-Meal Marshmallow Mateys Cereal for £1.99 and Reese’s king size peanut butter cups.
As well as this, the line also features three flavours of Rustlers Burgers for 99p, Sweet Baby Ray’s honey barbecue sauce for £2.49, and a McEnnedy double chocolate cookie dough pie for £2.49.
Lidl’s range is only available “while stocks last” which tends to be between one and two weeks.

If you’re planning to celebrate the US holiday, Aldi is selling Mojito flavoured sausages for £1.89.
You can even cook three pizzas at once using Aldi’s £9.99 pizza stand trio.
The bargain retailer also sells £3.99 bargain fairy lights so you can add some sparkle to your garden.
