President says he took a “beautiful” letter from former President Barack Obama, which he will keep secret.
Addressing senior staff members on Sunday, Trump said that he “just went to the Oval Office and found this beautiful letter from President Obama.”
“It was really very nice of him to do that and we will cherish that. We will keep that and we won’t even tell the press what’s in that letter.”
Outgoing presidents leave a letter in the Oval Office for the new leader.
In the letter Obama himself received, former President George W. Bush reminded him of  “trying moments,” when “critics will rage” and “‘friends’ will disappoint you.”
