Giving for God

Real love and compassion that makes us give, is stirred in our hearts by the hand of God. Giving for love’s sake, is giving for God. But God has a condition for all who must give in His behalf –These must be no vain-glory. All the glory must be given to God Almighty. The praise of the receiver must be pointed upwards secret giving is the fulfillment of God’s ideal of giving. When giving is done publicly, it is the flesh serving its own purpose by seeking self-glory.

The Scripture in the Holy Bible says, it is more blessed to give than to receive (Acts 20:35); for the receiver, receives physical blessings but the true giver receives the much richer spiritual blessing from God.
The Shunammite woman was a secret giver (2 King 4:7) having secretly sowed into Elisha’s life for some time, enlarging her seed instead of growing faint in giving, her days of visitation came and blessings refused to stop following her. God visited her family by giving her a son. And again, her dead son was restored and warning to escape famine and restoration of everything.
I will admonish you therefore, to give in compassion, bountifully, but secretly, so that you will get your due reward from God- good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over (Luke 6:38).
