American documentary filmmaker Michael Moore has described anyone planning to vote for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump as a “legal terrorist” alleging that Trump intends to “blow up the old way.”
Moore’s remarks came in an interview published Friday by the US-basedRolling Stone magazine in which he called on those considering to vote for Trump to “think about the damage they could do by being a legal terrorist on November 8th.”
“Legally, you have a right to vote on November 8th,” Moore went on to explain. “He’s told everybody that’s what he’s going to do. He’s the outsider who is going to ride into town and blow up the old way. So you, as a voter, get to participate in the detonation. He’s going to get a lot of votes from people who actually just want to sit back and watch the thing blow up.”
The filmmaker, who announced last week his new movie “Michael Moore in TrumpLand,” further expounded the recent Trump controversies, saying that contrary to popular opinion, the Republican candidate’s sandals should make people more concerned about the upcoming election.
“I’m more concerned. I think this is all about voter turnout and the more people feel relaxed and not as worried or not believing how important their vote is, because it looks like he’s done,” he added.
Moreover, Moore also underlined that Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton is not a popular candidate either and that there is little visible enthusiasm for the veteran politician and former first lady.
“I could just tell on the streets that there’s no enthusiasm [for her] whatsoever,” he told the magazine.
According to a Real Clear average of recent polls, Trump is trailing Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton by 6.1 points.
Political leaders and commentators, however, have concluded that the possible presidency of either Trump or Clinton would be “the two worst things that could possibly happen to the country,” according to CNBC broadcast network.
