It a good news in the world because Sony has launched the Xperia Tablet Z, a slim and waterproof designed tablet at a price of Rs 46,990.
The Tablet uses a Qualcomm quad-core processor running at 1.5GHz and has a 2GB RAM, 16 GB internal storage, a 10-inch screen with Full HD resolution and powered by Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean).
Just like the water resistant smart-phone, the tablet is also water resistant, and has an 8MP primary camera with a 2.2MP front camera.
The tablet has a unique feature which is the IR sensor and it enables users to control television with it.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One were recently launched with the same feature.Despite its large screen, the tablet weighs just 495 grams and is 6.9mm thick.
A senior Sony India executive said that it was a premium product and they hoped to attract customers who valued great design and unique features like water resistance. They also felt that people who liked their Xperia Z phone, would love this tablet.

The design pattern also seems similar to that of the Xperia Z phone. Sony has now customized the user interface on the tablet and it now feels quite snappy, however not as fast as an iPad.
